The finish work after the trades pack up.
Post construction cleaning is its own discipline — drywall dust, paint splatter and sticker residue need different tools than regular cleaning. Drywall dust travels into closets you didn’t open during the build. Paint flecks land on baseboards the painter never noticed. Sticker residue clings to every window. Sawdust collects in trim. Vacuum cleaners don’t pull this stuff out, and a regular cleaning service isn’t built for it. We are.
- Fine dust pulled from every surface, including inside cabinets and drawers
- Sticker, tape, and adhesive residue from windows, fixtures, and appliances
- Paint flecks and overspray removed from baseboards and floors
- Light fixtures, vents, switch plates, hardware polished
- Floors swept, vacuumed, and mopped (multiple passes on hard floors)
- COI available for general contractors who need it for site files
What Edmonton families actually say.
Post Construction Cleaning — Why post-construction cleaning is a different service
The dust that comes out of a construction site is not the same as household dust. It’s finer, it settles into surfaces in a way regular dusting doesn’t lift, and it gets into cabinets and drawers that were closed during the build but still managed to fill with a film. The first pass over a construction site is more like dust extraction than cleaning, and it usually takes two passes to get a surface truly clean. That’s why post-construction is scoped by the hour and not flat-rate.
What we typically handle on a post-construction clean
The scope changes site to site, but here’s what we cover on most jobs:
- Initial dust extraction. HEPA-filtered vacuum on every surface, including inside cabinets, drawers, and behind appliances. Multiple passes on horizontal surfaces.
- Wall washing. Spot or full, depending on the level of dust and any incidental marks from the trades.
- Baseboards. Vacuumed, then wiped. Paint flecks scraped or chemically removed.
- Window cleaning, interior. Including frames, tracks, and sticker / tape residue removal.
- Fixtures and hardware. Light fixtures, ceiling fans, sconces, vents, switch plates, door hardware, cabinet pulls.
- Inside cabinets and drawers. Vacuumed, wiped, ready for contents.
- Floors. Hard floors swept then mopped (often two passes). Carpet vacuumed.
- Final sweep. A walk-through with the contractor or homeowner before we leave, fixing anything flagged.
How to get a quote
Text a few photos to (587) 784-6020 or send them through the contact form. Include square footage and finish date if known. We’ll come back within one business day with a scope, an estimated team size, and a timeline. For larger jobs we usually visit the site before the final number.
If you’re a builder or general contractor running multiple projects, we can set up standing-rate pricing and prioritised scheduling. Send us a note through the contact page and we’ll set up a call.
Frequently asked questions
Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance?
Yes. $2M liability through Sandbox Mutual, WCB coverage on every cleaner. We email the COI directly to the GC’s office.
Can you work around our trades?
If the trades are still on site, we usually wait. Cleaning around active drywallers or painters wastes everyone’s money. We schedule the post-construction pass for after the last trade is done.
What if more cleaning is needed after the homeowner moves in?
Common. We often book a follow-up deep clean after the homeowner has been in the space for a couple of weeks, since some dust always reappears as items get moved into place.
We serve Edmonton metro edge to edge.
